The beloved 1998 film Rush Hour could be turned into a television series very soon.
The famous movie starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker is in the process of being adapted into a TV series. The show would be a action-comedy with hour long episodes. The show will likely have the same premise about a Hong Kong police officer getting stuck with a wild LA cop. The deal isn’t done yet – as the show still needs to find a home on a network.
Scrubs created Bill Lawrence is reportedly co-writing and executive producing Arthur Sarkissian, (producer of the three Rush Hour films), and Brett Ratner will also be executive producers. This seems like an interesting pairing of the three as I’ve only known Lawrence for his humor in Scrubs. It just might make since as Sarkissian and Ratner know action very well (after all this is an action-comedy). There is no word if Chan or Tucker would return in any kind of capacity.
