Green Lantern to appear on ARROW? Stephen Amell: “We Are Creating aA JUSTICE LEAGUE on TV”

Mr. Green Arrow himself (Stephen Amell) made an appearance recently at Fan Expo Canada, and it didn’t take long for the topic to switch to the superhero lineup for Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.

Amell has been vocal about wanting to see Green Arrow join the justice league. It Looks like he’s getting his wish: “We are creating a Justice League on TV for us,” Amell said, almost refusing to again be dragged into discussions about whether or not he’ll be joining the DC Cinematic Universe.

“I don’t think there is a logistical reality to us participating in the feature side. That being said, I never wanted to have to feel like the show was justified, just because we participated in the movie. I don’t think my character would participate on the cinematic side. What’s that saying? Is it six seasons and a movie? Our show right now has me, Arsenal, Flash. There’s going to be Firestorm and Atom. The Justice League elements of it are very present on our shows [‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’] already.”

I like the way he thinks. The possibilities are endless by creating a tv Justice League of sorts. It really is a smart idea to include so many other rich DC characters which could also turn into other eventual spinoffs.

So could we see the emerald allies on screen? How would Green Lantern possibly fit into the Amell’s  tv “Justice League of America” plans, Amell said: ” It would be really cool to have Green Lantern. Hopefully, that happens. I have no inside information, unless I do.”

We also learned more about season three of Arrow we should look forward to this year, namely the new team of The Arrow and Arsenal. “That is my favorite part about season three so far,” Amell revealed. “The relationship between Colton Haynes’ character and my character, we’re in a really good spot. We’re in a big brother/little brother spot. We have been trying to find little moments where I do everything short of giving him a noogie.”
