New Poster for ANNIE Remake

Most of you remember the 1982 movie Annie, but what most of you didn’t know is that “Little Orphan Annie” started out as a American comic strip back in 1924. Here is the newest poster that has just been released for the 2014 Remake.

The 2014 Remake ANNIE is directed by Will Gluck and stars Quvenzhané Wallis in the title role and Jamie Foxx as Will Stacks (“Daddy” Warbucks in the original).

Business tycoon and mayoral candidate Benjamin Stacks launches a campaign to take in Annie, a young girl who has been living with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan since her parents left her as a baby.Benjamin Stacks – advised by his VP, Grace and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy – makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he’s her guardian angel, but Annie’s self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it’s the other way around.

I usually frown on reboots and remakes but this actually looks like it could be a fun family movie for the Christmas season. It feels like it will be less of a musical, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see “Hard Knock Life” in there somewhere.

Annie will be with us on December 19, 2014.
